Want an incredible, cost-effective way to hone your professional skills AND travel Europe? Then this might be for you!

I’ll give the mic to Tony Brown, Professor in the Russian department:

Dear English majors!

I’m pleased to announce the recent creation of the English Language Baltic States Internship Program beginning Spring/Summer 2016 (see attached flyer).  Choose to intern in one of three historic and beautiful Baltic capital cities: Lithuania, Riga, and Tallinn.  As member states of the European Union, you will enjoy visa-free travel to any number of destinations throughout Europe.  In addition to carrying out an English-language internship, you’ll also be able to complete three classes that will count towards the BYU European Studies Minor.

In order to answer questions that you may have, two information meetings will be held this month—the first on Tuesday, 17 Nov., from 4:30-5:30 in 3116 JFSB, and the second on Wednesday, 18 Nov., from 5:00-6:00 in 3116 JFSB.  Should you have any questions that you’d like to discuss prior to the upcoming information meetings, please feel free to email me at tony_brown@byu.edu or stop by my office at 3093 JFSB.

As a reminder, humanities majors at BYU pursuing an international internship will receive a $2,000 program discount.  Academic scholarships/grants likewise apply towards program costs.

Very much looking forward to meeting with you and sending you abroad!

Best, Tony Brown
