Blog Writing Intern

Position Description: Looking for an intern with excellent writing skills and knowledge to help write blogs for our website. We have blogs about marriage, parenting, fatherhood, family, substance abuse treatment and recovery, and spirituality, with the intention to expand into other topics. This intern will collaborate and create new blog posts for various aspects of the Foundation for Family Life. Must be willing and able to do research on the blog subject, get personal stories from clients and others, and put it all together coherently. Along with blog writing, this intern will assist with other tasks at the office, as needed.

Qualifications of Applicant: Intern should have great writing and communication skills. Must be self-motivated and have excellent time management. Must be able to take initiative and work efficiently and effectively. Must be organized, creative, and able to generate new ideas. Must be able to collaborate well with others and work as a team.

Grant Writing Intern

Position Description: Looking for an intern who can help us research, network, write, and manage grants for us. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on other organizations to help us keep all aspects of our program running smoothly. We have grants for clothing, hygiene, public transportation, healthcare, etc. This intern will use their excellent writing skills to learn about and help craft these grants. Will work under direction of a supervisor, and report to them. This intern will be mainly responsible for grants, but will assist with other tasks at the office, as needed

Must be able to take initiative and work efficiently and effectively. Must be organized. Must be willing and able to work as a team. Must be able to multi-task and work with deadlines.

Social Media/Marketing Intern

Position Description: We are looking for a student who will help with our social media and marketing efforts to expand our programs further. This intern will manage our social media accounts (Instagram and Facebook) – including posting, design, networking, and generating new and unique ideas. This intern will coordinate our weekly social media meetings and contribute helpful ideas on how to improve. This intern will use their knowledge of successful marketing strategies to help our organization grow in all aspects. Along with social media management, this intern will assist in other tasks at the office, as needed.

Qualifications of Applicant: Intern should have excellent communication and writing skills. Must be creative and able to coordinate a pleasing media design. Intern should have exceptional social media networking skills, and be dedicated to growing our social media presence. Must have knowledge of social media trends and successful marketing strategies.  Digital Marketing and/or Graphic Design experience encouraged.
