Responsibilities
Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of our processes and document those processes
Write easy-to-understand workflow guides that our developer, project manager, and instructional design guides on team processes
Create both technical documentation and visual flow charts to depict the process flows uncovered during your interviews
Work to refine and update those documents as gaps and inconsistencies are discovered
(Possibly) Create tutorials to help new contractors/hires get up to speed quickly
Requirements
Proven working experience in technical writing, instructional writing, task analysis, or journalism.
Ability to deliver high quality, detailed, professional-looking documentation (flow charts and technical documents)
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and flow chart methodology and software (we don’t have a specific software requirement)
Excellent English writing skills
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
Strong interpersonal communication and interviewing skills for subject matter experts.
Ability to synthesize and summarize data
(Desired) Ability to help us create training based on the information you’ve discovered and compiled
