The South Franklin Community Center provides access to educational programs that promote individual growth and encourage relationship building. Our programs and activities provide community involvement opportunities that advocate education, income and health in order to empower and unite residents of the South Franklin neighborhood. This internship will focus on supporting community center programs through social media and marketing and recruiting volunteers.

They are looking for somebody to intern with them from January 4 to April 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Duties & Responsibilities
• liaison between United Way and South Franklin Community Center
• Update monthly calendar online and for printed material
• Create marketing material such as flyers and calendars for monthly events
• Maintain attendance record for programs
• Coordinate initiatives designed to promote the organization and its services to the community
• Assist and support other programs at South Franklin Community Center
• Update social media platforms
• Encourage parent involvement in community programs
• Create forms and contracts as needed
• Recruit volunteers as needed
• Performs related work as required
Qualifications
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish)
• Able to work under minimal supervision
• 18 years of age or older
• Able to pass a background check
• Great organization skills
• Comfortable interacting with strangers
• Excellent follow-through
• Interest in non-profit work
