This is internship that is expected to last approximately 12 months. We are looking for candidates available immediately. Candidates will work with their hiring managers to decide a specified length of time to complete their internship. Hours must be worked between the hours of 6:30am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Weekly hours will not exceed 27 hours per week. The position is located at the Church Office Building in Salt Lake City, Utah. The intern will work in the Vendor Management Office, where relationships and contracts are made with various IT related vendors. While working under the Strategic Relationship Managers, an intern will be expected to analyze complex data, and then create clear reports summarizing that data. The intern will add value by calling attention to contract expirations and renewals and providing followup to end users. May be assigned to assist with Projects as needed. Other duties as assigned. Experience creating charts, pivot tables, and complex formulas in Excel is required for this position.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university studying finance, accounting, or a related field.
Solid business presentation skills (articulates technical concepts clearly – visually and verbally).
Technology background is desired.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with and providing information to management levels.
Project management experience is desired.
Must be highly computer literate and familiar with various operating systems and internet browser environments.
Familiarity with databases.
Proven organizational and administrative skills, detail oriented, highly organized.
Experience in financial analysis and reporting.
Ability to think creatively to achieve results
Willingness and ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and work with minimal supervision.
Experience in organizing and coordinating with others.
Confident in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to juggle many tasks.
Ability to interact well in a team environment>
Self-motivated.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities may vary by assignment depending on department and need. Intern receives assignments from senior staff members. The Manger reviews work occasionally. The supervisor reviews each assignment as it is completed.
Meet rigid and challenging deadlines, working in harmony with other people, taking direction on precisely what they are to do on each assignment, maintaining a high level of concentration, and giving full attention to minute detail. Independence in working, tact and diplomacy. Sound judgment of Church doctrine, history, organization, policy and protocol.
WORTHINESS QUALIFICATION
Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
