Search Engine Marketing Specialist Internship

The Web Content Writer is an important member of the creative and online marketing team, and reports to the Director of Digital Marketing. In this role you will be responsible for writing a variety of unique material for websites, blogs, press releases, social media, online, email, radio, newspaper and magazine ads. You will assist marketing teams in development of engaging content that can be used in marketing or advertising campaigns to bring the clients’ business to life. The ideal candidate will have previous agency experience and preference for working for small companies where your hard work is rewarded.

Requirements:

Research ideas and facts pertinent to the type of content or topic assigned.

Write fresh content based on research and brainstorming by following instructions provided.

Rewrite, paraphrase or write content from scratch depending on specific instructions.

Ensure that content contains sufficient keywords for search engine optimization.

Communicate with clients to determine client needs.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet short, frequently changing deadlines.

Write keyword-rich copy for content-heavy websites and landing pages.

Assist in optimizing page content to maximize online conversions.

Write title tags and Meta descriptions for on-site search engine optimization.

Assist in building and editing citations to improve client’s local search engine rankings.

Write ads for pay-per-click and remarketing campaigns.

Write content for internal and external blogs and social media.

Proofread and improve copy provided by marketing team to ensure it is clear and concise.

Assist in creating client proposals and internal documents.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

2 years of experience as a content writer.

Experience in editing web content within WordPress CMS.

Previous online marketing, SEO, and Adwords experience preferred.

Knowledge of Excel and HTML, and CSS experience a plus.

Google Analytics experience a plus.

Conversion rate optimization and landing page optimization experience a plus.

Quick learner who can multitask and perform projects under tight deadlines.

Able to work under pressure with little supervision and a team player
