As our intern, you will be responsible for writing and editing content for LDS Living magazine and LDSLiving.com. Everyday tasks will include writing, editing, interviewing, fact checking, content planning, and much more.
We’re looking for someone with fresh ideas and a positive attitude. We’re a small team working on some big projects, and we need someone who can jump in and do great things.
Company Description
LDS Living magazine, a division of Deseret Book, is a bi-monthly magazine and daily online blog that aims to inform, entertain, and inspire. We address issues that are relevant to Mormons and celebrate our unique culture. We complement, rather than focus on, spiritual issues and strive to support the lifestyle and beliefs of our readers.
Required Skills
Applicants should be currently enrolled and working toward a degree in a related field or recently graduated. We welcome communications majors with an emphasis in journalism, English majors who have taken a copy-editing class, or those who have had substantial experience planning and running a successful blog. Knowledge of Chicago or AP styles is a plus. Must have excellent writing and communications skills and an interest in learning all facets of online content generation and the magazine publication process.
Additional Information
This is a paid internship opportunity ($7.25/hr) that requires approximately 40 hours per week during regular business hours for 15 weeks, starting on September 5, 2017, and ending on December 15, 2017.
