PURPOSES
The purpose of Seminaries and Institutes of Religion (S&I), is to help youth and young adults understand and rely on the teachings and Atonement of Jesus Christ, qualify for the blessings of the temple, and prepare themselves, their families, and others for eternal life with their Father in Heaven. Live: We live the gospel of Jesus Christ and strive for the companionship of the Spirit. Our conduct and relationships are exemplary in the home, in the classroom, and in the community. We continually seek to improve our performance, knowledge, attitude, and character. Teach: We teach students the doctrines and principles of the gospel as found in the scriptures and the words of the prophets. These doctrines and principles are taught in a way that leads to understanding and edification. We help students fulfill their role in the learning process and prepare them to teach the gospel to others. Administer: We administer our programs and resources appropriately. Our efforts assist parents in their responsibility to strengthen their families. We work closely with priesthood leaders as we invite students to participate and as we provide a spiritual environment where students can associate with one another and learn together.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in a college or university or have graduated within the past year
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Email
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Quick learner of software applications
- Good communication skills are a must as this position will be helping end users understand the product and helping to produce new product feature requests.
- Team player
- Detail oriented in note taking (OneNote preferred) and scheduling meetings.
- Fluent Spanish, Portuguese, or other language is preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as coordinator of departmental projects, following up on pending details, coordinating project team activities, supporting questions from the field and ensuring deadlines are met. Collects, evaluates, disseminates and maintains complex information and data from multiple sources. This position requires a broad knowledge of the organization’s structure, functions, and key personnel, etc. Serve as a liaison between the users and management, employees and outside contacts related to department activities. Prepares correspondence, memorandums, reports, etc. Composes routine training and communication with Seminaries and Institutes.
This is a full time position for 4 months.
WORTHINESS QUALIFICATION
Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
