Magazine Editor Internship with SALT Contemporary Dance in Lehi

Local professional dance company is looking for a passionate arts enthusiast who is eager to make a difference and be at the forefront of an exciting new project. As Magazine Editor Intern, you will get a first-hand experience in publishing a magazine from the ground up.

Responsibilities and Duties

This person will report directly to the Magazine Editor and Executive Staff.

Duties may consist of any of the following:

• Compiling stories

• Writing articles
• Soliciting advertising

• Editing
• Design
• Photography
• Research

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma required. Some college preferred.
• Planning and organizational skills.
• A good command of English with strong writing skills.
• Creativity and good visual sense.
• An eye for detail.
• An understanding of target audiences.
• Negotiating and decision-making skills.
• Graphic design experience a plus.
• Knowledge of dance world will be extremely helpful.
• Experience in journalism field a plus, but not required.
