Job Summary The Utah Transit Authority is looking for a marketing intern to join our Utah County team. We’re looking at ways to improve transportation in Utah County, including completing a $150-million bus rapid transit (BRT) line connecting Orem and Provo. As we prepare to open this new line in August 2018, we’re looking for someone to interface with the community and build excitement and engagement. This is a great opportunity for someone whose career will be focused in public relations, social media, public involvement, community relations or transportation. The selected candidate will coordinate with our Salt Lake City-based communications staff, but the work will be primarily based in Utah County.
Minimum Qualifications Education/Training:
Junior level student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, seeking an undergraduate degree in marketing or related field. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Transcripts and two letters of recommendation will be required prior to any offer of employment.

Knowledge:
·  Prefer solid understanding of different marketing techniques with strong desire to learn along with a professional drive, and passion for the marketing industry and best practices.
·  Good understanding of data, process, and operations analysis.

Skills:
·  Reliable and self-directing
·  Strong organizational skills
·  Enjoys meeting and interacting with people
·  Likes to take photos and shoot video

Abilities:
·  Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups at various levels.

Pay Rate  $10.894 – $14.657 per hour depending on level of education completed. This position is part-time, not to exceed 29 hours per week. Duration: Approximately 8 months.
