This role: •WEX is looking for students interested in working in a fast growing and complex B2B company. Our summer interns work within their assigned teams to get an exposure to a variety of public relations related responsibilities of a public company in a fast-paced environment. The primary purpose of the position is to be work closely with our partners on a variety of projects. •Summer intern assignments at WEX are facilitated from May to August and are reserved for both undergraduate and graduate level students. What you will be doing: •Intern will draft press releases, research on various topics related to our business, communications, public relations and social media, post to corporate social media accounts and blog, compile data to draft presentations, provide support at company events, as well as draft, proof and edit communications. Qualifications Who we are looking for: •Candidates must be currently enrolled in school at the time of this application. •Candidates must have the technical skills required for the work and pass a rigorous interview process geared toward assessing creativity, innovation, and technical abilities. •Candidates should be curious, innovative, and willing to learn. Preference given to the following: •Highly self-motivated individual who works equally well both independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment. •Excellent written and verbal communication. •Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously is critical. •Must be able to ensure deadlines are met and that projects proceed as planned while adhering to quality control measures and project goals. •Ability to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive information. •Knowledge of public relations, communications, and social media.
