Ancestral Travel Process Specialist, Intern

This is what you will do….

  • Collect customer feedback from travel customers, recommend changes to travel services/products to improve the experience.
  • Assist with various travel administrative tasks and development aspects.

Tasks & deliverables:

  • Investigate the traveler client journey to improve the experience.
  • Measure client satisfaction and analyze feedback.
  • Devise best practices to improve client satisfaction through the client journey, as related to travel services/products.
  • Develop client deliverables for specific countries.
  • 50% of time involved in administrative tasks for the travel program, such as tracking traveler data and setting up travel sessions in the ERP.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s or Ph.D. level degree
  • Must be currently enrolled in a university and graduating after Summer 2018

Family History Research, Intern

This is what you will do….

Our Family History Research Intern will spend most of their time researching and building family trees of historical figures in Ancestry.com and looking for interesting stories to share with media outlets. There will also be some narrative writing and some database creation and upkeep.

Tasks & deliverables:

  • Evaluate our database of historical figures, establish criteria to prioritize opportunities.
  • Build 5-generation family trees for 25 famous historical figures as assigned using the Ancestry.com website using full sourcing and attribution in each tree.
  • Populate a database of famous family trees for easy access.
  • Write tree overviews or scripts to deliver to media outlets.
  • Provide next step recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s or post-doc level degree
  • Experience or course work in family history research required
  • Must be currently enrolled in a university and graduating after Summer 2018
  • You will work in a professional environment and have ample opportunity to network with department heads and other professionals within your discipline and across the company.

Assistant Genealogist / Process Specialist, Intern

This is what you will do….

  • Develop a process to map, measure, and improve the customer journey in such a way that we build customer loyalty. Special emphasis will be placed on defining the low points in the journey and establishing corrective best practices that will be adopted across the company.
  • Perform directed Assistant Genealogist research and support tasks for professional research projects.

Tasks & deliverables:

  • Investigate the AncestryProGenealogist client journey to understand the milestones involved.
  • Map client journey.
  • Measure client satisfaction according to client journey map.
  • Devise best practices to improve client satisfaction at low point(s) within client journey.
  • 50% of time involved in genealogy research (setup new projects, pulling records from Family History Library, creating new family trees, etc).

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s or post-doc level degree
  • Must be currently enrolled in a university and graduating after Summer 2018
