We are a fast-growing SaaS start-up in Lehi, building easy-to-use software for tax professionals. We are proud of our Glassdoor reviews and our world-class brand. One of the most important elements of our culture is that we are all owners, and that makes us scrappy, passionate, and proactive.

We’re looking to hire a Talent Acquisition Intern to help support a fast-growing tech startup. Being an intern at Canopy, you’re the kind of person who’s looking for an adventure and a challenge. Every. Single. Day. But you’re excited because you love the fast pace of a tech startup. You are likely inquisitive, friendly, and proud of your work, but above all else, you are organized. Lastly, you are the type of person who simply ‘gets stuff done’. This is the most important characteristic you have. No problem is too small and no project is too big for you to knock out of the park. Even though it’s busy, fun, exciting, and even a bit chaotic, you continue to work everyday with a smile. Because at the end of the day, you feel your job rocks! If this is you, apply today!

What will the People and Culture Intern do?

Recruiting Support.

You will be responsible for helping our Talent Acquisition Specialist with scheduling and some interviewing. Behind the scenes, you will frequently meet with hiring managers as an advisor. This means determining hiring plans and continually checking in to update them on candidates and give advice. Many of our technical positions require candidate sourcing. This means you will be active on LinkedIn every day, launching new campaigns to attract passive talent. You will also think long-term by coordinating and planning events such as meet-ups, conferences, and career fairs.

In this fast-paced position, you are a valued team member. This means helping and giving support in People team projects outside of talent acquisition. Just some of the many projects we have recently tackled include an Employee Handbook, Health and Wellness initiatives, intramurals, and much more. Below briefly outlines what that support might look like.

People & Culture

Our People & Culture specialist does whatever it takes to keep the office afloat. You may be asked to help with these daily office duties. You will certainly be called on to help with Canopy’s events and initiatives, big and small. With a growing team, having an “all hands on deck” mentality is a must.

HR Operations

You’re ready to learn the backend processes of keeping the people at Canopy happy. You’ll help manage our internal site and get new employees setup on all the accounts they need for their first day.

Learning & Development

We’ll have more than 100 new team members joining Canopy over the next 12 months, which will be an epic experience with a lot of orientation and on-boarding support needed.

Who are we looking for?

  • Complete confidentiality on all business matters
  • Incredibly organized and detail oriented
  • Able to prioritize multiple assignments
  • Proficient with Google Docs and spreadsheets
  • Able to learn new tech quickly
  • Happy, fun, and excited to build a world-class team!!

Why Canopy?

Canopy is very fast-growing, the energy is high, and the industry presents a green field opportunity. If you like to build things and to have a lot of impact, this is the place to do it.
