Sutherland Institute, a Salt Lake City think tank with state and national influence, is looking for communications and policy interns for fall semester – beginning September 10th 2018.

Sutherland Institute communications interns assist the communications team with social media, marketing, video compilations, and more. Due to Sutherland’s various channels of outreach, a communications internship offers something new each day. Communications interns may be responsible for media tracking, creating shareable social media content, film assisting, writing, graphic design and completing other projects as assigned.

Public policy and research interns are given semester-long projects that require them to research and report findings to policy analysts. These projects can range in topic, so specify your policy interests in your cover letter. Topics include economics, federalism, family, education, and religious freedom. Interns are given multiple opportunities to contribute to Sutherland’s publications on topics they research.

Our internship is paid by stipend depending on experience and availability.

Interested students can apply by sending the following:

-Resume

-Cover letter

-Three references

-Unofficial school transcript

-Writing sample

-Design portfolio (if experienced in graphic design)

Please send applications to Amber Maxfield at amber@sifreedom.org by June 29th.
