Position Description

The marketing internship at Shadow Mountain is no ordinary internship. What we are offering–apart from your hourly wage–is something that will jumpstart your career: real experience. As a paid intern, you’ll participate in the planning and execution of both traditional and new media marketing campaigns. Daily tasks will primarily include designing assets (ads, bookmarks, banners, memes), book tour management, event planning, and developing marketing strategies. In addition, you’ll also be exposed to running social media campaigns, copywriting, and building relationships. This internship is packed with all the real-world experience you could ever ask for.

Required Skills

Applicants should be majoring in marketing, public relations, advertising, graphic design or communications, preferably in junior or senior level of coursework. Must have excellent communication skills and a professional, proactive, and enthusiastic demeanor. Must have demonstrated graphic design skills. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in social media promotion and copy writing. Video editing and/or HTML and CSS programming a plus, but not expected.

Additional Information

This is a paid internship opportunity ($10/hr) that requires approximately 40 hours per week during regular business hours for 15 weeks, starting on January 7, 2019 and ending on April 19, 2019.
