Jessica completed an internship with the BYU College of Nursing for her ENGL 394 Professional Writing Internship course during Winter 2019.
My 394 internship was sometimes challenging; I had to step out of my comfort zone a lot. But it was also rewarding and I have published work that I was able to show as I was interviewing for jobs. It was definitely worth it! I am graduating this semester and I have a job lined up for after graduation. I don’t think I would have been able to get this job if it weren’t for my internship. I will be doing digital marketing and I am really excited about it. These internships can literally open doors. Students need real-world experiences like this. I would have done this internship sooner if I had known more about these opportunities earlier on.
