Homeland History, full-time, Paid Intern

QUALIFICATIONS

Paid interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.

Student in History, English, Journalism, or related field. Ability to analyze and prioritize large quantities of data. Ability to work quickly alone and in a group.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. SQL experience a plus.

Knowledge of multiple languages a plus.

Life Help Internship (Disabilities)  

ID 243978, Type: Temporary Part-Time

The Priesthood and Family Department, located at the Church Office Building in Salt Lake City, currently offers an internship in its Life Help division. This 8-month internship is offered throughout the year. We are currently hiring for the position running from January through August. These are hourly paid internships that typically require the intern to work up to 20 hours per week. This paid internship is 20 hours a week for eight months. Position is located at the Church Office Building.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Life Help Intern: The life help intern participates in the disability specialist division of The Priesthood and Family Department. Tasks will include writing, researching, interviewing, answering calls and supporting advisory group work for members with disabilities and their families. Candidates should exhibit excellence in writing, communication skills, and disability awareness.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants for this internship must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university, or they must have recently finished a degree from an accredited college or university (within six months of beginning their internship).

Applicants must also be available, at their own expense, for possible in-person interviews at our Salt Lake City location if they are selected as finalists.

Other qualifications include the following:

  • Sound understanding of Church doctrine, history, organization, and policy
  • The ability to manage many projects simultaneously
  • The ability to give careful attention to detail and sustain concentration for long periods of time
  • The ability to work well with people and present an image of professionalism
