Lit Service is a podcast that connects aspiring writers to publishing professionals, giving writing craft advice and first chapter critiques from successful authors, agents and publishers.
Description of Job Duties: The Lit Service Podcast records writing advice and first chapter critiques with professional authors, editors, and agents twice a month. The intern will edit and mix the podcast audio, update the website, do research for the podcast, as well as create graphics for, take pictures for, and drive the Lit Service Social media platform. There will be many opportunities to network with writing professionals in Utah as well as the broader publishing community.
Qualifications of Applicant:
- Comfortable with Photoshop, GIMP, or Inkscape
- Familiarity with managing multiple social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
- Excellent writing skills with particular focus on writing for social media using appropriate conventions and voice.
- Experience in sound design a plus
