Advising Paid Intern
The Advising Internship is a project-based internship centered on improving the student experience in the course planning and educational path systems. With students in over 100 countries, BYU-Pathway Worldwide has a need to develop a unique communication system that can serve a diverse and growing student population. The Advising Intern plays a crucial role in helping the advising team design the communication plan, write and create content for answering student questions, and helping to educate students about their options. The internship is a four-month position, full-time position, from January through April, located in Salt Lake City with no benefits and no stipend for housing. The salary is $13.50 per hour.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend meetings with Advising Services Manager and collaborate with related departments
- Create content/communication for coursework and educational path guides that can be provided for students
- Work with advisors to determine frequently asked questions and to better understand the student experience
- Think like a student in order to anticipate student needs in designing and authoring the potential outlets of information, including email, portal, and other tools
- Understand and connect with a unique user base in order to determine where communication should be inserted

Communications Specialist Paid Intern
The Communications Specialist intern is responsible for the coordination and organization of marketing and communication projects for BYU-Pathway’s Field Operations department and the EnglishConnect program. They will be involved in a collaborative work environment with the Communications team to deliver end-products to clients. The Communications Specialist intern plays a crucial role in helping quickly capture content and documenting the needs of clients. The internship is a four-month position, full-time, from January through April, located in Salt Lake City with no benefits and no stipend for housing. The salary is $13.50 per hour.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attends meetings with Communication Manager to collaborate on projects
- Reviews upcoming tasks and project needs
- Creates and edits content involved with each communication-related message
- Manages various ongoing and short-term projects
- Maintains client relations and receives project requests
- Assists with production
QUALIFICATIONS:

The Curriculum Analysis Internship is a project-based internship centered on improving the student experience in the coursework and curriculum. With over 40,000 students (and counting), BYU-Pathway Worldwide has a need to better understand how the curriculum can be improved to meet the demands of its growing student population. The Curriculum Analysis Intern plays a crucial role in helping the curriculum team identify areas of improvement, completes several research and analysis projects, and collects and interprets student feedback and data. The internship is a four-month, paid position located in Salt Lake City with no benefits and no stipend for housing. The salary is $13.50 per hour. Hours are typically Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (40 hours/week).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review the curriculum and coursework, look for areas of improvement, and provide feedback and analysis
- Participate in BYU-Pathway student meetings to gather feedback and observe the student experience
- Research the academic preparedness of students starting the BYU-Pathway program
- Evaluate student experience and isolate actionable items for curriculum improvement

With students in over 100 countries, BYU-Pathway Worldwide has a need to develop a unique higher-education curriculum that can serve a diverse and growing student population. The EnglishConnect Intern plays a crucial role in helping the curriculum team design the curriculum approach, write the curriculum itself, and connect with other teams to bring that curriculum around the world. The internship is a part-time position from January through May, located in Salt Lake City with no benefits and no stipend for housing. The salary is $13.50 per hour (20 hrs/wk).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write new and review existing curriculum for an online language learning app

Knowledge Base Paid Intern
The Knowledge Base Intern focuses on improving the outward-facing knowledge base for BYU-Pathway Worldwide’s Student Services. This intern will be working directly with the Student Services Coordinator and team, the Data Analytics team, the Communications team, and other areas as needed. The Knowledge Base Intern’s work will primarily be in project management and organization, assisting with clarifying and providing access to various informative articles for both students and teachers. The internship is a four-month full-time position from January through April, located in Salt Lake City with no benefits and no stipend for housing. The salary is $13.50 per hour.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the Knowledge Base team to get articles from inside the system and make them outward facing
- Monitor the progress of each article
- Coordinate with the Communications team for article language
- Coordinate with the Data Analytics team and collaborate on joint information and apply it in a meaningful way

Writing and Messaging Paid Intern
Join BYU-Pathway Worldwide as it provides access to higher education wherever the Church is organized. As the writing and messaging intern, you’ll get to share the story of one of the most unique and fastest-growing organizations in the Church. In this internship, you will assist the content and messaging specialist in generating copy for a variety of messaging, including blog and newsroom articles, emails, and text messages. These efforts include interviewing students, missionaries, and employees from around the world; writing articles and publishing them through WordPress; reviewing work with co-workers and supervisors, and maintaining an editorial calendar.
As an intern, you will also write copy for a variety of mass messaging (e.g. weekly updates for students and missionaries, enrollment messages, text messages, surveys, and marketing campaigns) and prepare it for distribution, maintain a messaging calendar, and carry out other administrative tasks as needed.
This position helps BYU-Pathway clearly and effectively communicate its offerings and mission to a diverse audience of thousands of students and Church-service missionaries throughout the world. As a member of a professional communication department, you will get to interact with our messaging, digital marketing, and design teams, and gain meaningful experience applicable to the communication field. This is a paid internship located at the Triad Center in Salt Lake City. The salary is $13.50 per hour. Hours are typically Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
