PURPOSE OF INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Center’s summer internship program provides opportunities for students who want to gain practical museum experience, and to assist students in the development of new or expanded applications for their academic and professional interests.

The internship program offers students hands-on involvement with the museum profession in a manner that cannot be duplicated in the classroom or through textbooks. These experiences may result in graduate theses and dissertations, and assist students in defining their career goals. Interns become aware of the professional practices and ethics of a workplace environment.

INTERNSHIP INFORMATION

Qualified upper-level undergraduate students and graduate students who are enrolled in colleges and universities are eligible to apply. We also select recent graduates who are actively obtaining work experience.
