Savvi’s software simplifies the legal process for startups as they pass through the stages of formation, launch, financing, team, growth, and scale. As a legal tech start-up, we are determined to better the legal experience and don’t mind breaking tradition as we do. From upfront pricing to a casual office dress code, Savvi’s innovative approach to legal work gives interns a perspective into the world of legal you can’t gain through a traditional law firm. We also offer our interns insight into the exciting world of startups and what it’s like to have your own business.
We are looking for law or pre-law students who are interested in getting a practical legal education in a fast-paced environment. You will be mentored by UChicago and Duke alum Dan Roberts, founder of Savvi Tech and Savvi Law group. Dan’s 10+ years of experience as a venture attorney makes him an invaluable resource as you dive into the world of law. He is also happy to write letters of recommendation and act as a reference for successful interns.
Former Savvi interns have gone on to launch their own legal practice, their own legal tech startup, and leverage savvi for Law school applications. Just as these interns were excited about different aspects of the legal world, our team has a variety of legal projects we’re eager to get started on. Rather than have a “one-size-fits-all” internship, we want to work with you to define your role and deliverables so they align with your post-law school goals. Here are a few examples of responsibilities we could incorporate into your role:
  • Legal Engineering- craft and develop logic and documents
  • Client onboarding and support
  • Legal and content research
  • Attorney Networking
  • Legal operations
  • Legal research and writing
  • Educational legal content creation
  • Legal technology R&D
We are looking for someone driven, resourceful, and eager to learn who we can incorporate into our team.
This can be a part-time or full-time position. We are offering a flexible schedule if you continue to take classes or you wish to pursue other opportunities simultaneously.
This job has potential to continue as a paid part time role during the school year.
We are happy to make this internship count for college credit.
