This internship will be focused on editing historical data gathered by others, researching, and compiling historical data for assigned localities, and using the data to create accurate and informational snippets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Edit historical data for content, brevity, and accuracy.
  • Conduct assigned research projects summarizing a locality’s history using reliable sources, prioritizing data as directed.
  • Input gathered content into a standard template.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Student in History, English, Journalism, or related field.
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize research to complete projects within a given timeframe.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to work effectively alone and with a group.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of multiple languages is a plus.

Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation.  They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.

WORTHINESS QUALIFICATION

Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.

This is an entry-level position designed to train and assess new candidates’ aptitude for the level of uncertainty, complexity, and detail required in working with contracts and data privacy laws. Successful candidates will be able to understand legal concepts and how to monitor compliance, identify conflicts, supervise drafting, and systematize requirements of routine contracts, laws, and policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contract Administration: Supports team members with administering standard contract terms and ensuring compliance with standard contract conditions, rights, and obligations. Processes executed contracts to manage tracking of terms through electronic document management systems.
  • Compliance Administrator: Applies standard rules that ensure business is conducted in full compliance with all applicable national and international laws and regulations for the purposes of managing risk.
  • Business Analytics: Assists in gathering and developing legal data and providing team members with coding and numbers to be translated into meaningful information.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Aptitude for understanding legal concepts, identifying legal issues and anomalies, analyzing legal details, synthesizing complex information into machine-readable formats, standing firm under pressure, and coping with heavy workloads in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel is helpful, as well as ability to quickly learn new technologies. Candidates will be asked to demonstrate their knowledge of Excel.
  • Attitude is positive when confronted with changes, views problems as opportunities, and is teachable.
