We are looking for a qualified intern to join our marketing team! Our marketing department produces quality work for all hospitality services, private events and tourism at Temple Square, and we’re looking for interns who can contribute to our inbound marketing efforts. Interns should be prepared to work in a demanding work environment and expect to gain broad experience in various aspects of marketing, including design, social media, content marketing, research, and analysis.

Responsibilities

Social Media

• Research audience and plan strategy
• Schedul e and implement social media posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest
• Weekly performance tracking for social media posts
• Weekly Social Media planning

Blog

• Research audience and plan strategy
• Write , schedul e and promot e Temple Square Tourism and Wedding blogs
• Monthly performance tracking for blog posts
• Monthly Blog Post planning

Special Projects

• Video production (filming and editing)
• Monthly inbound marketing report compilation
• Graphic Design
• Assist with other marketing and outreach projects as needed

Requirements

We are looking for someone with strong initiative and who is enthusiastic about Temple Square. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are imperative. The applicants will be required to submit a writing sample (see guidelines below). Working knowledge of The Web and Social Media is preferred. Experience in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is a bonus and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for these internship positions.

General Information

• Temporary part-time position , 20 hours/week for 16 weeks ( summer internship is May-August , fall internship is September-December, winter internship is January – April )
• $9.00/hour
• Free meal
